Wellingborough school cane,rare collectors item from one of the oldest schools in the country (Established in 1595)piece of schooling history .I wonder who’s had it across there hand!
Revision
The item i am selling was not a teacher’s cane. Instead it was a “swagger stick”, used by senior boys in the School’s Cadet Corps (OTC – the Officers Training Corps). I would date this as 1910-35.They have several examples in there museum .
